Summer Music Camp

This joyful and engaging music exploration class designed to spark creativity and build foundational music skills in young learners. Through a blend of singing, dancing, movement games, and hands-on activities with fun instruments like handbells, boomwhackers, rhythm sticks, and more, students will develop a strong sense of rhythm, pitch, and musical expression. Each class encourages active participation, imagination, and teamwork while introducing basic musical concepts in an age-appropriate, playful way. Whether marching to the beat, echoing melodic patterns, or creating their own rhythms, children will grow in confidence and musical awareness, all while having a great time. Mini Maestros lays the perfect foundation for future music study in a warm and encouraging environment.

In this exciting and imaginative piano class, young musicians will learn to play iconic themes from their favorite movie soundtracks! Using simplified arrangements from films like Frozen, Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lion King, and more, students will explore melody, harmony, and rhythm at the keyboard. Along the way, they’ll strengthen reading skills, develop listening and ensemble awareness, and discover how music shapes emotion and storytelling in film. With fun group activities, guided practice, and a mini-performance at the end of the week, this class is perfect for beginner to early-intermediate pianists who love movies and want to make the magic themselves.

Let’s be honest- everyone wants to play the guitar. For those with some to no prior experience, students will learn the fundamentals of guitar playing, including proper technique, basic chords, strumming patterns, and popular guitar riffs. We’ll learn classic songs like “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes, “Eleanor Rigby” by The Beatles, and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day. Students must provide their own instrument. Ukulele recommended for students ages 7-9.

Have you always wanted to play the drums? Start your journey here! Perfect for aspiring drummers, students will learn the basics of rhythm, notation, and technique from a professional drummer. We’ll work on both snare drums, doing drumline material, and bucket drums, learning various rock beats. We will tackle songs like “Always” by Forrest Frank, “Yellow” by Coldplay, “Believer” by Imagine Dragons, and others. This class emphasizes coordination, listening, and timing, all within a fun and collaborative environment. All instruments will be provided.

Get the thrilling experience of singing in a choir! We’ll learn about melody, harmony, pitch, vowels, and blending as we sing through exciting repertoire like “Circle of Life” from Lion King, “Happy” by Pharell Williams, and the beautiful rendition of “This Little Light of Mine” by Ken Berg. Students will explore the joy of music through vocal warm-ups, group singing, and performance preparation. The class focuses on building healthy singing habits, basic music reading skills, and teamwork through a variety of age-appropriate songs and musical styles. All sheet music will be provided.

This beginner-friendly class is designed for students who want to play contemporary worship music with confidence and expression. Students will learn to play popular worship songs using modern chord voicings, chord charts, and simple right-hand melodies. The course also includes basic ear training, left-hand accompaniment patterns, and foundational music theory—all applied in a fun, practical way. Perfect for anyone looking to join a worship team or simply play worship music at home.

Campers may be dropped off at 8:00 am for a small fee. Rate is per day.
